When someone books, the system links or creates a customer record by email. There is no password step to slow them down. It is fast for the customer and gives you a clean, deduplicated customer list. Confirmation emails go out as soon as the booking is complete.
For return visits, customers sign in with a secure magic link. Their portal shows booking history and detail, lets them cancel on their own (the system evaluates your cancellation policy) and displays any gift-card balance. The login is enumeration-safe: it never reveals whether an email already has an account.
